Post A Play is a values-driven youth development initiative that harnesses the power of sport to inspire, equip, and uplift young people. Rooted in Christian principles, we believe that sport is far more than competition — it is a powerful platform for building character, developing leadership, and strengthening communities.
Through our work, we create opportunities for young people to grow both on and off the field. By combining sport participation with mentorship, leadership development, and storytelling, Post A Play helps young people build confidence, resilience, purpose, and a sense of responsibility to others.
We work across diverse communities and partner with a range of organisations, including churches, Christian organisations, schools, and community stakeholders who share a commitment to the growth and well-being of young people.
Our vision is to see young people empowered through sport, leadership, character, and opportunity.
We envision communities where young people are supported to develop their talents, build confidence, grow in purpose, and become leaders who contribute positively to society through integrity, service, and perseverance.
Our mission is to use sport as a gateway for youth development by creating programmes and initiatives that foster leadership, life skills, character formation, community engagement, and athlete visibility.
By combining sport participation with mentorship, values-based development, and storytelling, we aim to support young people in developing both their athletic potential and their personal growth.
Postaplay works at the intersection of sport, youth development, and storytelling, creating programmes that support young people while strengthening community sport ecosystems.
Sport provides a powerful environment for young people to develop leadership skills, discipline, character, and responsibility. Post A Play encourages young athletes to see themselves not only as players, but as leaders who can positively influence those around them.
Strong communities are built when young people are actively engaged in positive, purpose-filled environments. Post A Play works alongside churches, schools, community organisations, coaches, and local leaders to support grassroots sport and create meaningful opportunities for youth participation.
Many talented young athletes never receive the visibility they deserve. Post A Play uses digital platforms to highlight athlete stories, celebrate grassroots talent, and inspire others through real-life journeys marked by perseverance, hope, and purpose.
Post A Play is built on Christian values and biblical principles that shape how we lead, serve, build, and partner. Our foundation is not separate from our work — it is the reason behind it. We believe young people should be developed holistically, not only in talent and performance, but in character, leadership, identity, service, and purpose.
At the heart of our work is a desire to see young people experience the fullness of life spoken of in John 10:10. While we serve and partner across diverse contexts, our ultimate hope is to create meaningful opportunities for young people to encounter the love, truth, and hope of Jesus, where openness exists. Sport is one of the platforms we use, but the deeper goal is to nurture the whole person and, where possible, create space for gospel witness and faith-filled transformation.
These values are not simply aspirations. They are lived commitments that shape our culture, our choices, and our contribution to the communities we serve. They guide every programme, partnership, and interaction across the Post A Play ecosystem.
1. We Are Salt and Light
Matthew 5:13–16
We seek to be a positive influence in every environment we enter, bringing truth, integrity, and visible impact. We aim to lead by example and be a force for good in the communities we serve.
2. We Are Hope Ambassadors
Jeremiah 29:11
We believe every young person has a future and a purpose. We seek to speak life, build belief, and create pathways of opportunity for those who may feel unseen, overlooked, or limited by circumstance.
3. We Lead Through Service and Sacrifice
John 13:1–17; Matthew 20:25–28
We believe leadership is not about status, but about service, responsibility, and sacrifice. We aim to lead by lifting others, putting their growth and well-being first, and measuring leadership by impact rather than recognition.
4. We Honour the Principle That the First Will Be Last, and the Last First
Matthew 20:16
We value every individual equally, regardless of background, status, or ability. We are committed to creating inclusive environments and opening opportunities for those who are often overlooked.
5. We Live Generously
Matthew 20:1–16
We choose to operate from a mindset of abundance rather than scarcity. We seek to give our time, knowledge, encouragement, and resources in ways that help others grow and strengthen the mission.
6. We Put Others First
Philippians 2:3–4
We value selflessness over selfish ambition. We seek to build a culture of collaboration, mutual support, and team-first thinking that reflects genuine care for the success and well-being of others.
7. We Walk in Humility
Philippians 2:3–4
We believe leadership is a responsibility, not a privilege. We remain teachable, grounded, and open to growth, correction, and learning, regardless of position or experience.
8. We Show Respect to All
1 Peter 2:17
We treat every individual with dignity, fairness, and honour. We believe respect is foundational to trust, and trust is foundational to meaningful, lasting impact.
9. We Practice Love in Action
Romans 12:9–21
We believe love must be demonstrated, not merely spoken. We seek to show compassion, integrity, kindness, and unity in the way we engage with others, especially in difficult or demanding moments.
10. We Strive for Excellence
Daniel 6:3
We pursue excellence in all that we do, not for recognition, but because of the standard we carry. We are committed to discipline, consistency, ownership, and continuous growth so that our work reflects quality and integrity.
These values are expressed through every aspect of Post A Play’s work. They shape how we develop leaders, form character, build programmes, strengthen communities, and use sport as a practical tool for mentorship, responsibility, discipline, resilience, and growth. Post A Play uses sport as an entry point, but leadership, character, and development as the outcome.
These values are not optional extras. They are the building blocks of who we are and how we operate. They shape how we lead, how we serve, how we partner, how we build programmes and systems, and how we develop young people. We are committed to raising a generation that does not simply pursue success, but pursues fullness of life — a generation marked by character, grounded in purpose, committed to service, and equipped to lead with impact.
